                                                                             Vanished

Summary

Because of the abduction of her five year old daughter 7 years ago Sarah Mason, Assisatant District Attornery in Beaufort, South Carolina has become a work-a-holic to fill in the hours so she done' t have to think about her daughter and the fact that even though they looked everywhere they could not find her.

Plot

She goes to the corner store to buy dog food and is shot trying to save a little girl's life. After she recovers from that, one night the phone rings and when she answers Lexie's voice begs Sarah to come and get her and bring her home. She is immediately out of mind and in a panic mode wanting to find her daughter despite it being 7 years. So she goes to the Police and when they don't take the event seriously, Sarah asked her friend Jake  for help a private investigator who had helped her to try and find Lexie all those years ago.

My Thoughts

The plot was really clever, exciting, and well-designed. There were a lot of side story-lines that were introduced and you can never quite know weather they are connected with everything that is happening to Sarah or not. I found the  characters to have many layers and were interesting, but not perfect. What grabbed my attention was the absolute gut wrenching account of Sarah Mason coping with her missing daughter.

My Rating

5 Roses
