Hero
Jack wasn't the rogue that he believed he was., and was very often hard on himself. He did attempt to pass himself of as a gentleman and told little lies here and there, but he did have more of a moral code and he was not arrogant or cruel in anyway. By his legal rights he could have been a real ass.
Heroine
Isobla was a strong woman she was willing to make the necessary sacrifices for her family, home, and for the people who counted on her. She was loyal to a fault as well as being a strong, independent female and her strength speaks for itself.
My Thoughts
I enjoyed reading about how Jack and Isobla worked togethe to discover the truth about who was attempting to kill him. I really loved the he whole mystery of the treasure along with the castle ruins and cave system this book was true to the time period in language, customs. and I really enjoyed the hero and heroine.
