Summary

I really liked this book it was loosely based on upon the Greek myth of Hades and Persephone.

Plot

Pierce died at 15 and caught a glimpse of what it was like in the underworld.She was supposed to stay there but, she escaped. When she got back she though everything would be normal she was wrong she hasn't been normal scence. Pierce and her mom moved to Isla Heusos where they though they'd get a new start but it wasn't that easy.  The more she try's to run the more she is pulled twords the world that she excaped.

My Thoughts

The writing style is powerfully descriptive and it brings the world to techi-color life in my immagination. Half the book was told in flashbacks, I though it would be focused on the love story but it wasn't . It was getting to know pierce, finding out what actually happen to her that made her the way she was. Getting to know all the intreasting characters. Her-family-people from her previous live  and the people she encounters on Isla Huesos and we most not forget her father. 

Not only is 17 year old Pierce a nice down to earth person she is also incredibly empathetic. You can see all these qualities not only when she puts others before herself but, also when she rescues injures Animals she was born in a life of privalige and she doesn' t act like a pampered princess. When she dies everything changes when violence occurs every time Pierce is near she is blamed for it until finally her mom takes her to the island where she was born.

I loved the John charges into the book  from his black cloth to his imposing heigh and threading demeanour. He rides towards her on this horse.
